Banana Chan Episode Guide
Banana Chan is a long-form story following Lacy "Banana" Chan from childhood into adulthood. The story takes place in an imagined, somewhat westernized version of Japan, mostly in the coastal town of Rain. It follows Banana through friendships, conflicts, relationships, strange adventures, and battles against forces that attempt to control her choices.
However, reading these summaries does not mean that you know what the story is actually about. The themes, lessons, and ideas within the series can only truly be discovered by reading the scripts themselves.
Episode 1: The Emotion 16 Soldiers VS The Eater Of Worlds, Part 1 of 2
In 2002, 11-year-old Banana returns from Tokyo with her mother to the town of Rain, where she spent her early childhood. Missing her friend Boden, Banana is approached by three girls who insist she join them in battles against monsters.
Episode 2: The Emotion 16 Soldiers VS The Eater Of Worlds, Part 2 of 2
Banana spends three years fighting monsters, eventually facing the Eater of Worlds. These experiences teach her that choices can lead to both consequences and positive results.
Episode 3: The Arrangement
At age 14, Banana meets Ryone. Although Ryone develops strong feelings for her, Banana still remembers Boden. Banana discovers that her mother has a document suggesting that she and Ryone have been arranged to marry.
Episode 4: Love Letters
Banana struggles with the idea that some parts of life may be decided for her instead of chosen by her. The arrangement between her and Ryone raises questions about freedom, choice, and destiny.

Episode 5: The Walk
Ryone does not know about the arrangement. Banana decides to spend time with him, but the walk becomes an unusual experience involving the dog she is walking.
Episode 6: Resistance
Banana fights against an unfair school policy. The aftermath causes a complicated conflict between Banana and Ryone that continues for years.
Episodes 7-10: Growing Into The Future
Banana gains new friendships, meets James, adopts a cat who turns out to be a cyborg, and encounters Buster — her grandson from the future. Buster reveals that in his timeline Banana eventually marries Rob, raising questions about destiny and choice.
Episodes 11-20: Secrets, Space, And Time
Banana's world expands with political mysteries, secret societies, space stations, future technology, time travel, and the arrival of Rob. Buster struggles with his past while Banana and Ryone continue to navigate their complicated relationship.
Episodes 21-30: The Larger Universe
The story expands into a universe of time travel, space exploration, alternate futures, erased timelines, family, and questions about life, death, and destiny.
Episodes 31-34: Untitled Parts 1-4
These episodes are part of the continuing story. Titles and descriptions will be added when finalized.
Episode 35: Oversouls, Part 1 of 2
In 2010, Banana and Ryone get married. Together, they discover new ways to travel through time and the universe.
Episode 36: Oversouls, Part 2 of 2
The story reaches its epilogue. Banana and Ryone become masters of traveling through time and space in a wider universe connected to the novel Golden City.
