The pool of actors that are imposed upon us through Hollywood films has the same amount of people as a single city's community theater scene. Your local actors are more talented than the Hollywood elite, and they are more relevant to you. Every city should have its own prime time TV schedule made of locally produced shows. Cable television should be a way to examine the heart and soul of a foriegn community as expressed by shows that take place in that community, and cable television should expose each community's perceptions and inspired reactions regarding the surrounding world as expressed by shows that take place elsewhere. Cable TV should not be a way to get different time-zones of the same crap from the Hollywood community. Channels should be broadcast from every city, and channels broadcast from Hollywood should be the only channels carrying Hollywood productions. And the highest priority for cinemas should be to promote and encourage local productions.
